"Simlipi Wema Mil 13 Ng'o" - Kajala

Written By Mike Ntobi on Sunday, May 04, 2014 | 3:56 AM

JAMBO limezua jambo!

Diva wa filamu Bongo, Wema Isaac Sepetu a.k.a ‘Beautiful Onyinye’.

“Hata sasa hivi (juzi Jumatano) wapo safarini China wanakula bata. Yaani haya mambo yamejifunga sana. Yanahitaji hekima sana kuyamaliza,” aliendelea kudai.

BIFU HADI LINI?

Hebu wamlaani shetani.”

WAZAZI WAOMBWA KUINGILIA KATI
“Kajala ana wazazi wake, Wema naye kadhalika.

Wakipuuzia hili suala litasababisha janga kubwa.”

Why would you encourage someone to e-mail you to vent but then never respond at all?

Why would you encourage someone to e-mail you to vent but then never respond at all? :( I do appreciate your kindness in letting me vent, but I'm super isolated so I'm especially sensitive to this sort of thing. I certainly don't want to add to your stress (sorry), but it would be nice to get some clarification. Thanks.

Lupita Nyong’o swaps looks on the red carpet for Vanity Fair’s Oscars 2014 after party

While the Oscars may actually be about the awards, we all know that red carpet glamour is the main reason us fashion gals tune in. While movie critics and fans alike are all talking about Gravity’s production awards sweep and Leo’s latest loss for Best Actor, we still can’t get over how amazing Lupita Nyong’o looked last night. Given her run this past red carpet season, we went into the night knowing she was going to look unreal, but she blew us out of the park on Hollywood’s biggest night.
Undeniably the belle of the ball, Nyong’o first wowed on the red carpet in a plunging powder blue Prada gown fit for a Grecian princess. The revealing gown was perfect for the Best Supporting Actress’ slight figure—anyone with too much décolletage would have been falling out of the dress. The deep-V front was mirrored in the back and in the open sides, and the full skirt was enriched with a dusting of crystal beading on the edges of the pleats to add some shimmer. The accessories were kept minimal, as to not over-power the gown, with Fred Leighton ear cuffs, gold wrap bracelet and a crystal and gold Prada Raso clutch.
After scooping up her Oscar and giving a heartfelt speech, the freshly dubbed Lupiterella (Lupita + Cinderella), courtesy of eTalk Hollywood, changed into a more party-friendly Miu Miu dress, inspired by the brand’s Spring 2014 collection. With a green beaded fringe neckline and crisp white colour, the dress worked perfectly with her headband and new gold hardware. A soft sweetheart neckline, thick straps and a streamlined silhouette kept the fringe from looking like a bad ‘80s bedazzled flashback and kept the dress fresh and youthful. Lupita kept her hair and make up relatively the same, swapping out her coral lipstick from the show for a bolder red lip and losing the gold bangle—you don’t need a regular ole gold bracelet when you won the ultimate gold accessory.
While Nyong’o was the star of the night, Miuccia Prada deserves some props for being the creative mastermind behind the two looks. Both of the dresses were equally glamorous but so very different—do you prefer the storybook princess moment or the clean and tropical look? Cast your vote now!

JK amuweka kitanzini Profesa Kapuya

Written By Mike Ntobi on Monday, January 27, 2014 | 11:38 AM

Nani atapingana  nasi."
Hata hivyo, Profesa Kapuya alirejea nchini juzi huku polisi wakimshuhudia bila kuchufkua hatua zozote.

Mama K: (huku akiondoka) Nawaachia wenzangu.

Hakuna mambo ya 'short time'.

Written By Mike Ntobi on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 | 8:22 AM

Marehemu Nelson Mandela enzi za uhai wake.

MZEE MANDELA ALIACHA WOSIA:

WOSIA aliowahi kuuandika hayati Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela 'Mzee Madiba' au 'Tata' (95) enzi za uhai wake akielezea anavyotaka azikwe, ndiyo tishio kubwa lenye utata kuelekea siku ya mazishi yake, Jumapili ijayo, Ijumaa Wikienda limebaini.
Mtandao mmoja nchini humo umeukumbushia wosia huo huku familia ikianza kuonesha misimamo tofauti tofauti, hali inayoashiria kuibuka kwa makundi mawili yanayokinzana ndani ya ukoo.

Gari lililobeba mwili wa Nelson Mandela.

FAMILIA INAVYOTAKA:

SERIKALI YAPANGA MAMBO BILA KUFUATA WOSIA:

Aerial images showed lines of mourners snaking for around two miles as they queued patiently for buses to the building where his body is lying in state and then again as they waited to go inside.
Until now the cameras of the world have often been trained on leaders, VIPs and celebrities paying tribute to a man known for his common touch - a man who related to princes and paupers with equal ease.

Ordinary mourners from all walks of life had also queued for hours on end yesterday to view the body, but many were turned away by evening without having made it to the front of the long, winding line of people united in grief and gratitude for the father of their democratic nation.

Many returned today for another chance, with the entire day given over to general public access.

'My heart is so broken,' said Anita Bodiba, 35, who arrived at the seat of government, the Union Buildings, hours before dawn to join the long queue that had already formed.'I can't even sleep, I'm thinking of Madiba. On Wednesday, Mandela's distraught widow Graca Machel and other family members were followed by presidents, royalty and other international figures in paying their last respects in the amphitheatre of the Union Buildings where the Nobel laureate is laying in state.
It was here that he was inaugurated as South Africa's first black president in 1994, after emerging from 27 years' imprisonment.

A third day of lying in state will be held Friday, after which Mandela's body will be transported to his boyhood home of Qunu, ahead of its eventual burial on Sunday.
Thursday's programme began, as the day before, with Mandela's casket brought in a solemn cortege from the 1 Military Hospital to the Union Buildings.

Thousands lined the route as a black hearse, flanked by motorcycle outriders, carried the flag-draped coffin on its journey through the streets of Pretoria.
In the Union Buildings amphitheatre, soon to be renamed after him, Mandela's body lies underneath a perspex screen, dressed in the type of printed shirt that became his trademark.

Two navy officers stood by the coffin, their eyes downcast, and Mandela's grandson Mandla sat in a chair on the platform supporting the coffin.

For Tryphina Kau, 78, the event was a joyful one.
'I am very, very happy because his spirit is still with us, only the body is going,' she said, recounting the day that Mandela shook her hand while she queued to vote in South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994.
'I saw him at the beginning, and I came to see him at the end.'

Lebogang Phillips, a 36-year-old police officer who had served on Mandela's security detail when he was president, remembered the man as 'the friendliest person I have ever met'.

'When meeting people, he would always try to speak their language, whatever it was.'

The line of people queueing to catch a glimpse of their hero was already several city blocks shortly after dawn, and continued snaking around streets surrounding the Union Buildings by lunchtime.

Some mourners were dressed in the vibrant yellow, green and black of the ruling African National Congress that Mandela once led, and many wore black armbands.

People carried posters bearing Mandela's likeness and many clutched miniature South African flags, dancing and singing revolutionary songs from the liberation struggle era as helicopters hovered overhead.

White South African siblings Sean and Louise Bos, 21 and 19 respectively, flew from Cape Town on Wednesday morning to be part of the historic occasion.

They queued until closing time without making it to the front, then returned at 5.30am today, queueing about five hours to see him.
'We never met him so we thought we'd come to say goodbye,' said Sean, as the pair rushed to catch a plane home afterwards.
