Encouraged by the pal, she submitted photos and surprisingly made it through to the final and won. Signed with German modeling agency Metropolitan, she initiated modeling in Europe for a few years to great success, and then went to the United States only to meet with more success, culminating in her signing by Victoria's Secret. Born on June 1, 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Heidi spent her early life living in her hometown with her father Gunther who worked for a cosmetics company and mother, Erna who was a hairdresser. Faced with wider marketing opportunities, the lady subsequently had her own signature lines of sandals, jewelry, and perfume among others before came to the thought of making name in Hollywood professional modeling. Upon working on her career there, Heidi got job on TV while also had several small parts in movies, including a cameo playing Swiss bombshell Ursula Andress in the Peter Sellers biopic "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" (2004).
