Why would you encourage someone to e-mail you to vent but then never respond at all? :( I do appreciate your kindness in letting me vent, but I'm super isolated so I'm especially sensitive to this sort of thing. I certainly don't want to add to your stress (sorry), but it would be nice to get some clarification. Thanks.

Wow. 

Wow. You know, very rarely do I get messages that genuinely upset me. But this. This pulled my last straw today (of which I had very few).

I am a full time student. I major in psychology, minor in biology, and take pre-physician assistant track. I’m on scholarships, which means I work my ass off to get the grades I need to keep those scholarships.

My free time is spent doing 1 of 5 things: advocacy work, spending time/volunteering with the sorority-structured group I am a part of on campus, studying, or sleeping.

My Hostel Room

I get anywhere from 5-30 messages a day. Sometimes I get them at 3:30 in the morning. Sometimes I get them at 9am. Sometimes 9pm. I get to some faster than others. If you look, you can see that my last 6+ posts have all been answering questions and responding to you guys. I read them all. I keep my inbox open and my email open because I love this community. I love reading your stories and I love being able to do what I can to help others navigating a difficult path.

Sometimes I answer them quickly. Others take more thought, more spoons, and more time. Let me be clear: for the thousands of hours I put into advocacy, I get paid for none of it. I do this because I love it. Because I believe in empowering patients and giving patients a safe space to grow, cope, and find their voice in a system that does a damn good job at trying to drown all of us out.  I open my inbox—and my time—to everyone with love. 

And then there are weeks where my life falls apart and you know what? I have to put myself first.

This week, my life has been a mess. I think sometimes you guys forget that I am a patient—a person with a life and big obstacles to face outside of what you read about here—too. If you follow me on twitter, you know that I’ve been dealing with absolute chaos this week. I’ll have you know that after not sleeping last night, I spent my afternoon in the pouring rain cleaning out my wrecked car in the middle of a junk yard. And after that fun excursion, I got the call that my insurance will not be reimbursing the full value of my car.

Meaning I just lost about four. thousand. dollars.

I don’t have a super supportive family. I don’t have a well-off family. I am skipping kineret shots because my doctor is dropping the ball with communication and my insurance just changed. I don’t know how I’m going to pay rent in a few days. Right now, things are really unbelievably fucking tough for me. And this message was my last straw. I had nothing else to give—to myself, to you, to anyone today. 

So if this is in regards to the email I received in the middle of the night: I read it. And you know what? It might take me a few days, maybe even a week to respond. Maybe longer.

And that’s okay. I will not apologize for that.

I do the best that I can. It's my own choice of life.......!

And I’m sorry if that’s not enough for you or for anyone else.

(CNN) -- President Barack Obama gave Pope Francis a bag of seeds as a gift, a fitting token as their first-ever meeting provided a fresh start of sorts between the administration and Catholic leadership after years of strained relations.

"These, I think, are carrots," Obama told the Pontiff, showing him one pouch. The seeds were inside a box made from timber from the first cathedral to open in the United States, in Baltimore.

The two world leaders greeted each other with a smile and a handshake, and posed for pictures before sitting down across a table from each other.

It was an important meeting that had its share of light moments.

The President at one point quipped, "His Holiness is probably the only person in the world who has to put up with more protocol."

The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world's most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ.

In an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Obama pointed to the Pope's concern for income inequality, saying, "Given his great moral authority, when the Pope speaks it carries enormous weight."

Continuing to focus on income inequality, Obama said, "And it isn't just an economic issue, it's a moral issue. I think the Pope was speaking to the danger that over time we grow accustomed to this kind of inequality and accept it as normal. But we can't."

The President said he admires the Pope's courage to speak out on economic and social issues.

"It doesn't mean we agree on every issue, but his voice is one that I think the world needs to hear. He challenges us," Obama told the newspaper. "He implores us to remember the people, especially the poor, who are affected by the economic decisions we make."

The meeting took place two days after the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments on a contraception mandate included in the President's signature health care reform law.

The law exempts churches and houses of worship from the requirement, but nonprofit, religiously affiliated groups are required either to provide contraception coverage to their employees directly or through a third-party insurer.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has been vocal in its opposition to the provision, said Sister Mary Ann Walsh, a spokeswoman for the organization.

"Religious liberties and right-to-life issues are a concern," she said of the tension between American Catholic leadership and the administration. However, "the U.S. bishops have appreciated the administration's cooperation on issues of mutual concern."

"It was a very tough year," said Christopher Hale, a senior fellow with Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good who helped lead national Catholic outreach for Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. "It was hard to find any reasonable Catholic who thought the Health and Human Services mandate was handled well."

Differences over same sex-marriage only added to the strained relationship.

Religious experts said Francis would not have been likely to wade into politically charged conversations during the meeting.

"The Vatican has to be very careful to not create a gap between what they're saying and the bishops are saying," Schneck said. "They will be very careful not to undercut the American bishops in that regard."

The meeting with Francis, whose approval ratings are in the high 80s, might also boost Obama in that regard. His standing with the public has hovered in the low 40s.

After all, the Pope's name and quotes have been invoked in everything from discussions over unemployment insurance, the minimum wage and the bigger issue of income inequality.

"If I was advising President Obama, I would say the No. 1 spokesperson on American immigration reform should be Pope Francis," Hale said. "He has so much capital in this city. You have Catholics, Jews and atheists on the Hill quoting him."

House Speaker John Boehner, an Ohio Republican and a Catholic, recently invited the Pope to address a joint session of Congress.

"Everybody on the planet would like to have their picture taken with the Pope these days," Schneck said. "One of the things that would delight Obama is if some of that popularity would rub off. Given the President's current low numbers, he is hoping for a bit of a boost."

I’m not Jacky and I am relaying what was written in a book that I read. It was a children’s collection of biographies as well. OF COURSE everything you read is’nt true but something rang true about it to me that’s why I remembered it. What’s to say the wife didn’t adopt the child? Paula shit on her all the time, not paying her what funds she owed her but when Paula was in a state of depression my ex was there with her tits out for Paula to feed (metaphor). She was afraid that if she didn’t succumb to the recklessness Paula would give her a bad name in the industry, though she was known to be one of the best at what she did. She told me that Paula lived in a secure environment or maybe I misheard her. When I dated this person, she was always trying to impress me with people and such, I could really give a shit because I saw how they treated her and what their real agendas were. One day we were sitting in the car and it had been announced that Paula was coming out with new material, I had just bought her Itunes essential and played it in the car. I told my ex that I had a huge crush on paula when she first came out. No sooner than a week, we were eating dinner with Abdul. I was shocked and angry because I loved this woman at the time and it seemed that she was so damn caught up in showing that she could deliver anything, she had to do this to impress me, I wasn’t impressed…

My girl would pay for everything, because honestly, I could not afford the dinners we had went to, or places, Hell I am not from there and I didn’t live that way. I sat there and thought, “fuck…I am the only dude at the table and I can’t pay for this shit!” luckily they all ate like little birds, I had done some work before I flew out there and knew I had enough money. There were 7 of us. When the bill came, they all jumped to pay it, they were jumping over each other to pay the bill, the guy gave it to me and Paula told me to give it to her, my girlfriend told me to give it to her and this woman who was paula’s friend wanted it, they all argued over it and I looked at the bill, it was a little over 100 and plenty, so I gave the guy my card when none of them were looking and told him to go. By the time he got back, it was done, I signed it and they were all silent, thanking me. I honestly felt like this: Women were use to Paying the bill, that’s what it seemed like, they just ignored my ass! lol. Paula asked if she had known me before, that I looked familiar and i said, “no, we have never met, I am just a midwestern boy.”

On the way home, my girl bitched at me (jokingly…I think) that I had known paula before, that I had fucked her..lol. I was laughing so hard, because it looked like she was serious and that made me think about ol boy from american idol, the one that said he fucked her at her house etc. so maybe it all was true, but I felt also what Paula said was a stab at my girlfriend, to show her she was inferior by saying, “don’t I know you from someone where..” It was a trip and the best fucking day of my life, only cause I paid for her food, LOL. At the end they all took pictures, Paula was a wreck, meaning she was TIRED AS HELL. She had just got back from taping A.I and she was exhausted, you could see it on her body and mind.

My girlfriend and I were taking a picture with paula, paula was in the middle, just before the camera clicked, my girlfriend jumped out of the picture so it was just paula and I. Paula asked her why she did that, and she mumbled some shit. It made me look like a chump, like I was some groupie who wanted to get a picture with her and that was not the case. I know my girlfriend did it to please me, but you could see the discomfort on Paula’s face, ONLY because she was kinda attached to my girl as a close friend and that is what the picture would look like and what she did was pull away, making Paula feel like child who’s mom just left her. I was pissed forever!!!

Then they argued about who was going to take paula home as she got dropped off at the restaurant. My girl was practically begging her, and I was really feeling weird about this. I felt like if she got in the car with us, she wasn’t going home, she would get talked into coming to our place and something was going to happen. lol. Seriously! Finally the women who met us there, she took paula home.

I bitched at my girl for making me look dumb in the picture and she said, “I didn’t do it on purpose, you know you loved it…wasn’t it all you dreamed of babe….?” REALLY……lol, well at least I got a picture of myself and Paula….at dinner! She is a really really really soft woman, a nice woman. I was very shocked at her vulnerability to life, she was sweet and I am happy of all the people I met, She was very sincere..TO ME at least.

ON that kid, I think they killed her, someone killed her and put her in front of Paula’s door as a warning. You are not out of it until you get that other to take your place, that is what that girl was and that kid that said he slept with paula in season 1 or 2, he was the first, that is why his momma made him go on tv and tell the world, because they were scared! They knew he was a sheep being fattened to die! He had a great voice, resembled a Debarge, we would have greeted him as a brotha in the black music community, but he basically gave it all up (kinda) by opening his mouth and telling what happened. That is a NO NO in Hollywood, I saw that, you don’t tell secrets like that, but if you do..tell or act crazy (like britney) it might save your life!!!!
