Become-Professional-Blogger
Blogging could be another way to communicate with other people specially if you are an owner of a company and want to talk to your audience, or if you are a professional who wants to write about something and want users to read and subscribe to every new written post by you.  Blogs can be used in many different ways and discuss subjects about tons of different fields or industries. The challenge is all about how to use it right and providing quality content that will make your followers come back for more.

Content will drive traffic.
Everyday, lots of writers are writing guest posts for other blogs.  Implementing this strategy is another great way to gain some traffic for your website.  Hundreds of professional writers drive traffic for the websites they write to from guest posts.  Websites who have active discussion boards like Seomoz can drive such amount of traffic that is unreachable with the use of an ad campaign alone.  This will also increase your credibility and reputation online.  Keep in track of the high quality content articles you published because even old articles that are written 2 or 3 years ago can still drive traffic to a website.
Let’s assume you already wrote enough articles as guest posts.  Start making a list with all of your guest posts that drive traffic the most and start promoting them through Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and other social media platforms. Don’t promote all of them in one time – leave sometime between each tweet, Facebook post and others (depending on your social network activity).
Don’t work on the “Now” strategy – thousands of writers just write about topics that will eventually become obsolete with time.  They just write it, then after a while it disappears forever.  So when you write a post that may become obsolete overtime, make sure to add some information that will last forever, if not, longer.  No one bothers to read an untimely article.
Other posts have the date published beside the post’s title or in URL, for example site.com/2006/08/27/post-Name.  Such URLs, though unintentionally, gives an impression to the visitor that this is a very old article so they might as well close the web page before it even loads completely.  What you can do is to replace the date with categories and put the publish date at the bottom of the article so it’s far from your user’s discriminating eyes.

Write a Perfect Informative and Timely Blog Post
Professional bloggers weren’t born that way – they improved their skills day-by-day through writing hundreds, even thousands, of articles to reach such level.  Therefore, you need to write a lot in order to become a successful blog owner and eventually a well-known writer on the internet.
Start with baby steps – little by little- and there is nothing more ideal than starting with what really matters:  writing from the readers’ perspective.  When a visitor lands on a website or a blog post, all they care about before they read anything on it is what’s in it for them.  A great post should be written from a particular point of view and not randomly if you want to reach the professional level.  Try to frame your articles to the users’ needs so they can feel that you are actually helping them by giving them new information.
There are many posts online that are really valuable but unfortunately, their authors could not explain it more than what the readers know.  It’s always a good point for the authors to always itemize their points in the articles, deconstruct complex thoughts into easy steps to make it easier for the readers to digest the article.
Problems you might have encountered with computers as well as successful troubleshooting can become pieces of information for your article.  Each time you find answer to a question or solve a problem, others might be experiencing the same problem and are still looking for solutions.  So why don’t you write a blog post that explains the what-to-dos during such situations; for example a detailed instruction on how to install a specific Antivirus on a PC.  A little keyword research wouldn’t hurt you to know exactly how much traffic you may get for writing such a post.

Choose interesting topics to write about
Interesting topics on the internet are almost countless, but it all goes down to what you need to write about. While surfing on the internet, it’s very easy to be attracted and attached to a certain topic specially the current ones. But as a blogger, it is always better if you focus writing topics about the areas you’re most interested in.  Don’t write about a topic that you think will drive you traffic but is entirely different from what your website is promoting.  Just focus on what you can really provide and doing so will add value to your written articles.
Do you write about some situations that you were involved in and you can’t write about anything else but that topic? If so, just post those articles; even the small pieces of information will be helpful for someone. Another thing to remember is that no one will get more than what you give, so write about what you want and give it your best.  The more you give, the more you’ll get by improving yourself to write about different topics later on.

Effective article headline matters
Most people are just reading the headlines of blog posts instead of going thoroughly into each one.  Whenever their eyes land on an attractive headline, they will click on it to start reading.  Think about an RSS feed and the numbers of visitors who are following this as an example. People are following many blogs in their RSS as well, but what makes them click on a topic are the attractive headlines.
Headlines should attract visitors’ attention and this process should take just a few seconds.  A blog writer should write a headline that attracts the readers’ attention – it should create a need – so readers will stop for a moment to view the title and click on it to go further in reading the article itself.  So, it’s good for bloggers to go through copy-writing books to learn some useful techniques in persuasive writing.  It will surely add great value to the posts they’re writing.

Pictures are worth a thousand words
Using pictures is another way to attract readers and it’s well known that the human eyes prefer images a lot better to explain things instead of reading sentences. When readers click on a URL or land on a web page and then see its headline along with a picture, they will most likely already have an idea about what the article’s about.
Make time to search for the perfect photo to be added to an article, and as much as possible, stay away from using cliche photos like for example, a guy sitting on a computer when your article is talking about programming.

Involve readers in between the conversations
Writing a blog is like starting a conversation which is led by the writer himself who starts talking about a certain topic, and then people start asking questions or replying to comments in return.
In order to successfully create an inviting atmosphere for conversation, try using “open ended questions” in your posts.  Open ended questions tempt readers to leave a comment, especially if it’s a “Tell us your story” approach.  People love to tell their stories and other readers who share the same sentiment will most likely comment on those; and that’s exactly the type of conversation you would want to happen.
This also means that the author must get involved in the conversation.  Readers love it when a blog writer answers their questions or thanks them for a comment.  This shows how much the writer care about what he/she has written, how people act towards it, and how precious the comments are to the author.  It wouldn’t harm you to get some top commenters or hire individuals to moderate the comments if your blog is getting lots of comments daily.
